To effectively manage AVSI component of Education project “Back to the Future 5” funded by DG ECHO.
In this framework, the PM will be responsible for AVSI and AVSI’s sub-partners implementation in the South, Nabatieh and Bekaa Governorates. The scope of the work aims to Contribute to safe, sustained and inclusive access to quality education and wellbeing for vulnerable out-of-school children in Lebanon

➢ AVSI school focal point oversees the Dirasa programme implementation at school level and works closely with school focal point and to conducting daily follow up on the implementation of Dirasa activities in the schools, including monitoring students’ attendance and absenteeism, awareness raising, parents’ meetings, follow up with the counselors and teachers, supporting extracurricular clubs, forming PTA etc.

The School Observer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of the project by monitoring the classroom teaching methodologies of the teachers and providing on-the-job coaching and capacity building as per the tasks and responsibilities outlined below.

The internship will be conducted within the framework of the project titled 'Education for the Future: Enhancing Safe and Equitable Access to Schooling, Inclusion, and Retention of Vulnerable Children in the Governorates of South and Nabatiyeh.' This initiative aims to improve access to safe and inclusive formal and non-formal education opportunities for vulnerable children in Lebanon, encompassing both the Lebanese and refugee populations in the South and Nabatiyeh governorates.

The school focal point will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of the project in the assigned school as per the below:

The 8 School Observers will be trained by World Learning (WL) and each school observer will visit classrooms daily across the 2-3 schools to monitor teacher’ implementing the methodologies in foundational literacy and numeracy, as well as Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

This TOR is intended to psychologists having the experience and qualification to provide psychological support to beneficiaries according to adapted and specialized knowledge, to accompany and improve the beneficiaries’ wellbeing in these times of crisis, emergency and big distress.

The Accountability Officer will work in the Accountability team within the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Department. The Accountability officer is responsible for supporting AVSI Lebanon in strengthening its AAP framework. This includes building AAP understanding and capacity across the organization strategy, as well as including AAP perspectives in the design, implementation and monitoring of Education, Livelihoods, and other interventions..
