The MEAL Officer will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning framework of the assigned projects. He/she will develop a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered by the projects and strengthen their accountability. The MEAL Officer will also provide support to the development of AVSI’s programs, particularly in proposal development and in collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.

The 8 School Observers will be trained by World Learning (WL) and each school observer will visit classrooms daily across the 2-3 schools to monitor teacher’ implementing the methodologies in foundational literacy and numeracy, as well as Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

In the framework of UNICEF-funded “Dirasa” project, AVSI school focal point will be in charge of identifying and engaging with Out-of-School Children in vulnerable areas, developing community action plans, and engaging with targeted schools.
Each school focal point will be responsible of 1 school.
The 15 AVSI school focal points will be coached and followed by AVSI community engagement officers.

In the framework of UNICEF-funded “Dirasa” project, AVSI school focal point will be in charge of the daily follow up of the project’s activities in the school, including monitoring students’ attendance and absenteeism, awareness raising, parents’ meetings, follow up with the counselors and teachers, supporting extracurricular clubs, forming PTA etc. Each school focal point will be responsible of 1 or 2 schools.
The 13 AVSI school focal points will be coached and followed by AVSI community engagement officers.

In the framework of UNICEF-funded “Dirasa” project, the School Observer will be responsible for monitoring the classroom teaching methods of the teachers in DIRASA schools and identifying areas where further capacity building and on-the-job coaching is needed.

In the framework of UNICEF-funded “Supporting vulnerable girls and boys to access and remain in education in Lebanon” project, the Child Protection Officer will ensure a safe, secure, protective and child friendly implementation of the program for children in the private and private free schools.

In the framework of UNICEF-funded “Supporting vulnerable girls and boys to access and remain in education in Lebanon” project, the Community Engagement Officer will be responsible for the organization, coordination and implementation of all the project activities implemented in the private and private free schools that fall within his/her geographical areas of competence

In the framework of UNICEF-funded “Cash for Education” project, the Field Officer will be responsible for the organization, coordination and implementation of all the project activities implemented in the gateways that fall within his/her geographical areas of competence (Beirut and Mount Lebanon).

The 2 Inclusion Officers will ensure the inclusivity of project activities and that the children are sufficiently supported through a Twin-Track Approach. They will be knowledgeable of up-to-date principles and techniques of identifying and supporting students with disabilities, their caregivers, and relevant stakeholders.
The Inclusion Officers will be a focal point for the disability inclusion component within AVSI Education projects. They will contribute to overseeing referral pathways, reporting mechanisms, specialized services, and capacity building training packages.

Under the framework of the Dirasa and Cash for education Program implemented in partnerships with UNICEF, the Project Manager will be responsible of the overall management and coordination of project activities, supervising the project field staff and closely monitoring the project progress and team’s performance.
The Project Manager will also Contribute to the development of the Education department strategy at AVSI Lebanon and in developing new education funding opportunities.
