Part of its annual communication plan, the LAU MEPI TL program works on a list of communication tools to showcase students’ achievements and activities. Therefore, LAU would like to engage the services of an editor for the Arab Institute for Women’s bi-annual journal, Al-Raida. Al-Raida, The Pioneer, is a bi-annual interdisciplinary semi peer-reviewed journal published by the Arab Institute for Women (AiW) at the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Beirut, Lebanon. The Consultant selected for this project will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and usability of the as-built drawings and room attribute documentation for buildings at the Lebanese American University.
By meeting the outlined objectives, scope, and performance criteria, the Consultant will contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of facilities management and supporting the University's ongoing operations and future development initiatives.

LAU is looking for one Theater Workshop Trainer to provide and deliver a gender-related theater workshop. The workshop should be delivered in the form of a Forum Theater (a semi-scripted theatrical format that addresses contemporary social issues within the context of its presentation). With this format the trainer will encourage the students to engage through a participatory approach, allowing them to discuss the gender-based violence issues at hand and suggest interventions for resolution.

While the concept of anti-feminist backlash is applied in different contexts around the world, it is important not to overlook local specificities of backlash. In Lebanon, anti-feminist backlash extends beyond its normative definition as a hostile reaction or response to progress made within or by the women’s movement. Instead, anti-feminist backlash is embedded across institutions and social structures in Lebanon. This makes anti-feminist backlash less of a targeted response to a singular event; rather, anti-feminist backlash is systemic and diffusive in several contexts in the Global South.
