RFQ 2-09-24 Pest Control for School Storage Rooms North Lebanon & Akkar 2024 - 2025.

Under WFP’s School Snacks 2024-2025 Programme, DCL is requested to distribute healthy snacks or cold meals to children registered in 63 schools (31 in North Lebanon and 32 in Akkar).

In each school, a room/space (approx. 10m²) will be dedicated for the snacks’ storage.

Within this context, DCL seeks to contract a suitable supplier to provide pest control management services in the storage rooms of the 63 assigned schools, in addition to the 2 kitchens in the operating kitchen schools

The selected supplier should provide:

- Three rounds of pest control (September 2024, February 2025, and April 2025).

• - Use of pesticides for rodents and crawling insects such as worms, ants, cockroaches. Pesticides should be food-storage area friendly (Certificate required)
• - Inspection of:
• The storage room status, checking for any cracks or openings (like holes made as water outlets or other).
• The status of the windows and doors, checking if they close properly and if there are any cracks that may allow insects or rodents to enter.
• Humidity, ventilation, and sunlight levels, and the suitability for fresh food storage. If the humidity levels are high, then, a solution should be identified and, upon approval by DCL, should be implemented (potential cost will be discussed separately, on a per case basis).
• Any potential risk related to the storage of food items.
• Comprehensive report with comments on all the above points following the visits to the schools.
