About Rural Entrepreneurs: Rural Entrepreneurs is a non-profit organization initiated in 2015 in Shouf, Mount Lebanon, in response to the growing concerns about youth and women's unemployment and marginalization in rural areas. The organization was officially cofounded later on by a group of Lebanese entrepreneurs and professionals who believe in the value of investing in human capital and are committed to sharing their knowledge and experience to prepare youth and women to progress in their careers and become business leaders.

Field Manager Responsibilities 

  1. Project Implementation and Monitoring: 
  2. Oversee the day-to-day implementation of field activities related to our projects. 
  3. Ensure that project objectives are met within the stipulated time frame and budget. 
  4. Regularly do field visits to monitor progress, identify challenges, and provide on-site support to field staff. 

Team Management: 

  1. Supervise the field staff, ensuring that they are adequately trained and motivated. 
  2. Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions. 
  3. Assign tasks and responsibilities to field staff, ensuring efficient use of resources. 

Community Engagement and Partnerships: 

  1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with local communities, beneficiaries, and stakeholders. 
  2. Conduct community outreach and awareness campaigns to promote the NGO's mission and programs. 
  3. Address any concerns or issues raised by the community in a timely and respectful manner. 

Data Collection and Reporting: 

  1. Ensure accurate and timely data collection from the field for monitoring and evaluation purposes. 
  2. Prepare regular field reports, including progress updates, challenges encountered, and success stories. 
  3. Collaborate with the M&E team to analyze field data and assess the impact of the programs. 

Resource Management: 

  1. Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including materials, equipment, and finances, within the field operations. 
  2. Ensure that field operations are conducted efficiently and within the allocated budget. 

Compliance and Safety: 

  1. Ensure that all field activities comply with the NGO's policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations. 
  2. Promote a culture of safety and security among field staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. 
  3. Conduct risk assessments for field activities and develop contingency plans. 

Stakeholder Coordination: 

  1. Collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated efforts in the field. 
  2. Represent the NGO at local meetings, forums, and events 
  3. Facilitate partnerships and collaborations that enhance the impact of field operations. 

Problem Solving and Adaptability: 

  1. Address challenges and obstacles encountered in the field, adapting strategies as necessary. 
  2. Foster a problem-solving attitude among field staff, encouraging innovation and flexibility. 
  3. Ensure that field teams are responsive to changing circumstances and community needs. 

Reporting and Documentation: 

  1. Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, donors, and stakeholders on field activities. 
  2. Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories from the field. 
  3. Maintain accurate records of field expenses, ensuring transparency and accountability. 

Additional duties and responsibilities 

  1. Actively participate in all training sessions as directed by management including SEA-related training sessions and awareness-raising efforts
  2. Uphold the code of conduct, Child Protection Policy, and all RE policies
  3. Support for dissemination of PSEA materials
  4. Report in good faith all potential allegations of SEA (even if not evidenced) through the Child Protection Focal Point. 
  5. Coordinate with other staff of the project
  6. Other tasks as directed by the project management

Education, Experience and Skills

  1. A bachelor degree or equivalent years of experience in fields of social work, economics, human resources, marketing, and/or other relevant fields
  2. Strong experience in Field, outreach and recruitment
  3. Excellent reporting, communication, interpersonal skills, and proactive negotiation skills
  4. Have skills in working with people of all ages and social groups
  5. Skilled at working with local communities and authorities
  6. Outgoing and engaging personality with confidence to interact face-to-face with individual and corporate donors
  7. A high degree of personal initiative with the desire and ability to meet aggressive programmatic goals
  8. Flexibility and ability to infuse creativity, innovation, and insight into program fulfillment as we expand our programs
  9. Superior organizational and time management skills
  10. Able to multi-task and work through stringent deadlines while maintaining focus on priorities
  11. Good verbal and written communication skills, with thorough knowledge of Arabic and English
  12. Availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally
