The School Social Worker plays a critical role in supporting students' academic, emotional, and social development. This position involves working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive environment for all students. The School Social Worker will address students' behavioral, emotional, and social challenges and work to enhance their overall well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing emotional and/or behavioral issues.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to address students' needs and improve school climate.
  • Consult with parents to provide guidance and resources to support their child's development.
  • Develop and implement programs and workshops on topics such as bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and mental health awareness.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, progress, and interventions.
  • Monitor and track students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Stay current with best practices, research, and trends in school social work and related fields.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with children and adolescents in a school or community setting is a must.
  • Fluent in Arabic and French. English is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
