Project Description:

Young Politalks is a project managed by Fiftyfifty and funded by the Australian Embassy in Lebanon. It aims at engaging Lebanese Youths, from different political backgrounds, in socio-political dialogues and discussions to foster confident decision-making processes as well as raise awareness on the subject of Gender Equality. By fostering non-sectarian, non-violent, and non-discriminatory communication, this project creates a platform for constructive dialogue and empowers youth to shape the nation's future.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a well-structured PowerPoint presentation on relevant topics, including the definition of citizenship, coexistence, the Lebanese political system, the impact of youth participation in politics at various levels (Municipality and Parliamentary), and pathways to decision-making positions.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials tailored to participant needs.
  • Train participants on methods and concepts related to civic engagement and political participation.
  • Design and administer a pre-training questionnaire to assess participants' baseline knowledge.
  • Implement interactive post-training methods to evaluate participants' understanding and skills gained.
  • Write a report summarizing the training outcomes and the results of pre-and post-training assessments.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions to enhance participant retention.
  • Highlight the importance of inclusive participation, ensuring all voices are heard, including women, youth, and people with disabilities.
  • Specify conditions and best practices for successful participation in civic and political activities.
  • Educate participants on the significance of their involvement in local politics and civic engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Civic Engagement and Political Participation.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Expertise in content and curriculum development.
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support program delivery.
