One main component of the project is to build the capacity of different stakeholders (Local NGOS, CBOs, PHCs, SDCs and others) on the GBV core concepts, safety identification and referral as well as how to deal with disclosure. For that purpose LECORVAW is seeking a qualified trainer to fulfill the following tasks and duties:
Tasks and Duties
The trainer is in charge of preparing the content and training materials as well as organizing, administering and facilitating two-days sessions to different GBV team members. The aim of this training is to expose participants to the range of methodologies and techniques that can help turn the delivery of humanitarian training into a participatory, high-impact and memorable learning experience.
Task 1: Develop sessions, objectives, content and methodology:
In close coordination with the project manager and GBV officer, provide input and advice to determine overall objectives of the training, key content areas and strategy and methodology for its delivering;
Draft agendas, course outlines and similar planning material
Task 2: Prepare sessions Materials:
Prepare presentation material, including PowerPoint slides, audio-visual aids and lesson plans/lecture notes for each presentation.
Prepare standard materials for participants, such as a workshop guidebook and/or binder with all related handouts and other materials.
Task 3: Design Interactive Exercises:
Design a range of realistic interactive exercises to support session content and objectives;
Revise and update existing exercises and simulations as needed;
Prepare instructions, role descriptions and other materials.
Task 5: Act as Lead Facilitator for the session:
Ensure administrative norms such as schedule, breaks, timeliness etc.
Facilitate and run various exercises relating to the subject material
Facilitate and lead group discussions related to the training material.
Establish and maintain a learning atmosphere characterized by intellectual inquiry and openness, mutual respect and fun
Materials utilized:
Visual aids (PowerPoint, video, others)
Printed materials (workshop book, handbooks, manuals, handouts)
Exercise materials (instructions, props, etc.).
