Ceasefire NOW Campaign Coordinator

This position is remote and based in the MENA region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate the IOPT CeasefireNOW campaign.
• Identify strategic opportunities to elevate the #CeasefireNOW Campaign work
• Develop and deliver campaign action over a six-month period.
• Manage relationships with alliance members, ensuring all voices are heard, and that the alliance works in a clear focused direction.
• Chair regular alliance calls.
• Oversee campaign communication and engagement, ensuring maximum exposure for the campaign messages and reach.
• Act as a first point of call for external enquiries for #CeasefireNOW.
• Integrate ongoing evaluation and learning into the campaign activities.
• Draft and provide review for quality assurance of communications and social media products.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Experience in successfully campaigning at regional and/or global level with allies.
• Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex projects with diverse partners across multiple locations.
• Good understanding of a range of campaigning tools and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic, with an ability to write effective communications for a variety of audiences.
• Experience in facilitating campaign strategy development.
• Experience in developing impactful public campaigning materials, including creative digital materials.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including good teamwork, negotiation, and diplomacy skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including an ability to understand diverging points of view and resolve conflicts without escalation.
• Experience working in multi-cultural and virtual teams.
• Ability to prioritize own workload effectively and enable others to meet challenging deadlines.
• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences, gender, and protection issues, as well as a commitment to equal opportunities.
• Conflict sensitivity - understanding of the multiple impacts of conflict on individuals, how this can affect their approaches and an empathetic approach to what they are facing.
• A good understanding of the policy and influencing landscape in IOPT and/or the broader MENA region.
