Company Description
SET (Souk El Tayeb) is a social enterprise founded in 2004 to improve the livelihood of small-scale farmers & producers and preserve Lebanese culinary traditions and rural heritage. The Souk El Tayeb family includes several initiatives such as The Farmers’ Market, Tawlet, Beit, Dekenet, and Matbakh El Kell. These initiatives showcase the stories and traditions of Lebanese cuisine, promote local agriculture, and support the farmers and producers. The enterprise is located in Beirut.
Summary of job function:
Responsible for participating in and supporting the design and implementation of the communication strategy and promoting the image and all activities at SET, across all outlets, including new projects – locally & abroad and producing impactful visuals, and copywriting content that showcases SET organization's initiatives, and events, and stories.
Main Tasks & responsibilities
1. SET Marketing Strategy
Participate in and support the creation and implementation of the communication strategy, as set by the Marketing & Communication Lead (Misfits), and in collaboration with the Managing Partners.
Implement SET marketing strategy, as per the Marketing & Communication Lead guidelines.
Follow-up on Communication & Marketing needs related to all departments, all SET projects (SET Farmers Market, Tawlet, Dekenet, Beit, Matbakh El Kell), and new projects.
Follow up on the yearly calendar of events.
Follow up on needed issues or coordinate publications, presentations, flyers, etc.
Coordinate with influencers, public figures, or others when needed.
2. Content Creation and Management:
Develop and execute content aligned with our organization's goals and target audience, under the supervision of the department lead.
Create engaging and high-quality visually appealing content, including photographs, videos, and graphics, that tell compelling stories and showcase our initiatives and events, for various platforms, including social media, website, and email marketing campaigns.
Create content for all communication platforms, including but not limited to a) writing for captions, b) taking pictures and videos, c) creating graphic layouts using Canva or third-party apps, d) creating stories and reels using CapCut or Mojo or other third-party apps, e) adding music to stories and videos, f) and other mediums when needed.
Produce written content, including scripts, captions, emailers, and press releases, that effectively communicates our mission, values, and impact - optimized for search engine optimization (SEO) and ensure it meets brand guidelines and voice.
Follow up and maintain a clear content calendar and posting schedule.
Events live coverage (photography, videos, and stories) related to events happening in Souk El Tayeb, Tawlet, Dekenet, Matbakh El Kell, Beit Douma Etc.
Follow-up with third parties outsourced for large event coverage when needed.
Manage relationships with contractual photographers.
3. Community Management
Posting to social media, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, and YouTube with proper tags, story sequences, and audience engagement ideas, following the content schedule.
Update and post weekly menus, as shared by Operations.
Update Instagram highlights.
Update the website.
Respond to customer engagement, reviews, and inquiries on all platforms in coordination with HDs.
4. ADMIN, Technical – in collaboration with IT specialist
Support in creating email addresses & passwords, provide technical support for email admin accounts for @Tawlet and @Soukeltayeb, account security info, etc.
Keep track of all domain names and renewing dates, information on servers, hosting, and GoDaddy accounts.
5. Research:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HDs, cooks, chefs, etc) to gather information and insights for content creation. Conduct interviews and research to gather stories and testimonials from farmers, producers, and community members.
Plan, attend, and document field trips to gather information and insights on food heritage in Lebanon for multiple content creation purposes
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content creation, storytelling, and visual communication. Stay informed about the latest food, culture, and community development trends and identify opportunities for relevant and timely content creation.
