Description: 

The MEAL Assistant will work closely with the MEAL Coordinator to ensure proper implementation of all the MEAL process at the organization level.

 

Main Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the MEAL Coordinator in managing the MEAL process with different departments & projects.
  • Assist with developing Frameworks and indicator targets for existing and new projects.
  • Conduct routinely and ad hoc field monitoring visits (centers, schools…) to collect data, validate reported data and ensure that completed activities are captured in MEAL reporting.
  • Assist the MEAL Coordinator in ensuring that data is collected and analyzed.
  • Provide support to other departments in completing MEAL-related tasks at the Program & Project level when needed.
  • Take part in collaboration, learning, and adapting events and ensure proper documentation for those events, attend trainings when needed.
  • Ensure that lessons learned are captured and documented from the field. 
  • Ensure that all MEAL-related data is kept up-to-date and physically and digitally well archived properly.
  • Assist in the creation and follow up on the complaints mechanism to be implemented at the organizational level.
  • Help and assist all departments in organizing and implementing MEAL logistical tasks before, during and after events and activities.
  • Perform other MEAL duties as seen necessary by the MEAL Coordinator.
  • Safeguarding:
    • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding in all interactions with participants.
    • Promptly report any safeguarding concerns and collaborate with the project team to address them.
    • Foster an environment that prioritizes the well-being and safety of all participants.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Information Management, Statistics, Public Health or other relevant fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data collection, indicator tracking, and other monitoring and evaluation processes.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • High proficiency in Excel, Kobo, SPSS, Jot Form or any other data analysis software.
  • Experience with report writing preferred.
  • Commitment to gender equality, diversity, social justice, and inclusion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
