Child Protection Focal Point

Salam LADC are seeking an experienced Child Protection Focal Point to support an education project in collaboration with TDH IT at their Community Centre in Saadnayel, Beqaa. You will be reporting to the 'Education Project Officer' in regards to your day-to-day duties during your fixed-term full time contract. You will be working with both host and refugee communities as Salam LADC believes in supporting all populations regardless of gender, nationality, religion and political affiliation.

Your main duties will be the following:

- Deliver regular psychosocial support activities physically (structured recreational activities, focused PSS) to vulnerable children attending BLN education activities, including materials preparation beforehand;

- Ensure that all recreational and PSS activities are in line with TDH IT and Child Protection minimum standards;

- Ensure that the beneficiaries are all involved in the activity and that there is possibility for boys and girls to work together and that children with diverse needs are included and supported equally;

- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the children;

- Record children session attendance, reporting any absences;

- Identify children in need of referral and report the cases in line with the protocols;

- Provide report on the implementation of sessions to the line manager;

- Submit daily time sheet to the line manager;

- Participates in the trainings and follow up meetings conducted by TDH IT team;

- Contributes to the ongoing operations of the centers in any other way required;

- Conduct positive parenting session for caregivers;

Professional Competencies:

Minimum 1 year of experience in providing Child Protection support to vulnerable children

Demonstrated knowledge of protection and related technical aspects.

Knowledge on how to communicate with vulnerable population groups, such as women, children, youth, elderly, persons with disabilities and refugees

Must be able to produce reports of both quantitative and qualitative data

Experience in conducting basic administrative tasks

Excellent knowledge and understanding of local communities and customary rules.
