Position: Legal Case Workers

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive intake interviews and personal statement interviews with clients to gather essential information about their legal issues and socio-economic conditions.

2. Collect relevant documents and records related to the case.

3. Conduct home visits to clients to verify socio-economic information and establish a trusting relationship.

4. Assist with the preparation of witnesses and gathering evidence for trial.

5. Manage the entire case management process, including conducting legal research to understand relevant laws, regulations, and precedents, analysing case law and statutes applicable to the client’s situation, drafting factual and legal analyses, and preparing necessary documentation for legal proceedings.

6. Manage and organize case files, ensuring all necessary documents are in order, keeping track of deadlines, court appearances, and other important dates and aspects.

7. Provide counselling sessions to clients, ensuring their understanding of legal processes and options, and educate clients about their legal rights, responsibilities, and options, and provide information on available resources and support services.

8. Collaborate and coordinate with legal professionals such as attorneys and paralegals to strategize and support the development of legal cases.

9. Assist in the preparation of legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and affidavits, and ensure that all documents comply with relevant legal requirements.

10. Maintaining communication with team members to ensure a coordinated approach.

 

Qualifications:

- Law degree from an accredited institution

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in case management, legal research, and analysis.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Experienced in reporting, and monitoring and evaluation.

- Knowledge of internal human rights law, principles and standards.

- Familiarity with social work principles and practices is an advantage.

- Proficient in the use of computers and relevant applications for data analysis, program modelling, and document management.

- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to different ethnicities, social classes, and cultural contexts.
