Description: 

● Maintain HFA’s general accounting system and track expenditures related to each of project, and grant awarded.

● Review the presence of relevant financial documents and signed proof of payment for each expense, including salaries and consultation (invoice, receipt, Timesheets…)

● Organize the cash box and ensure the petty cash log is up to date - submit orders for office or organizational needs

● Maintain and update asset sheets in accordance with donor and organizational policies ● See to the preparation of payments according to funds availability

● File financial data & documents in an organized and orderly manner as both a soft copy and hard copy, committing to grant requirements ● Maintain grant ledgers & prepare financial reports for each project in a timely manner according to grants’ requirements and deadlines

● Closing grants with relevant grant officers

● Update HFA’s financial policies and procedures when necessary

● Attend relevant meetings with partners when necessary

● Attend workshops when necessary i.e which increase the accountant’s capacity in financial matters related to the organization's financial management

● Reconcile on a weekly basis the project bank account with their bank statements

● Provide HFA with a monthly budget comparison for each of HFA’s project

● Prepare payroll of HFA’s employees and consultants

● Proceed to back up the data from the accounting system

● Tend to the preparation, declaration, and submission of employees’ Social Security benefits and Tax on Salary.

● Develop the organization's annual report in collaboration with the Auditor

● Develop the organization's annual financial statement and the NGO’s annual balance to submit to the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Finance.
