Physiotherapist in Beddawi & Naher EL bared camps

The project that will establish in partnership with TAAWON ( welfare association) , funded by Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF) ,  aim To improve the wellbeing and reduce the protection risks of marginalized elderly Palestinian refugees, aged 65 and above, and residing in Beddawi, Nahr El-Bared, and Wavel Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon 

* Scope of work :

The scope of work for a physiotherapist working with elderly individuals in Palestinian refugee camps ( Beddawi, Nahr El-Bared)  is multifaceted and involves various responsibilities to provide comprehensive care and support : 

1- Assessment and Evaluation:

-Conduct thorough physical assessments to identify elderly patients' medical history, current conditions, functional limitations, and mobility issues.

- Assess pain levels and document relevant information related to pain management.

2- Treatment Planning:

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each elderly patient.

- Set achievable goals for improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.

3-Rehabilitation and Intervention:

- Administer a range of physiotherapy interventions, exercises, and techniques to address patients' specific needs.

- Use modalities like heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and manual therapy as part of treatment plans.

- Provide gait training and prescribe mobility aids when necessary.

4- Pain Management:

- Assess and manage pain using various physiotherapy modalities and techniques.

- Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, including exercises and home care techniques.

5-Fall Prevention:

- Conduct fall risk assessments for elderly patients and implement strategies to reduce the risk of falls.

- Organize group sessions and educational workshops on fall prevention and safety awareness within the community.

6-Education and Guidance:

- Offer patient and family education on exercises, self-care, and daily living activities.

- Promote healthy lifestyle choices, proper nutrition, and physical activity to support overall well-being.

7- Collaborative Care:

- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic care.

- Attend interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and make adjustments to care plans.

8- Documentation:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards of patient confidentiality.

- Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

* Skill Requirements :

• Established ability in producing professional reports.
• Proven experience in information and communication management. 
• Planning and organizing skills.
• Time management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is required. Other languages can be an asset.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
