SKOUN is a Lebanese, non-profit, non-governmental organization and one of the first outpatient facilities that provide accessible treatment, education, and protection for all people who use drugs while maintaining its values regarding inclusion, accessibility, integrity, and dignity.

For 20 years, SKOUN has been caring for the most vulnerable populations in Lebanon and strives to ensure drug use and addiction are treated as primary health issues.

The Programs and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for securing strategic partnerships with various local and international stakeholders as well as contributing to the streamlining and follow-up of the programs within Skoun.

The role will involve networking with a wide variety of stakeholders, drafting proposals, monitoring programs progress, and ensuring adherence to Skoun’s goals and objectives to contribute to the sustainable growth of Skoun in line with its mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Contribute to the design and development of new projects in collaboration with the program team and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to program staff, ensuring quality project implementation and maintaining growing relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with local partners to ensure effective coordination and integration of substance use services into health and protection programming
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local and international organizations, relevant government agencies, and local and international donors
  • Lead the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and ensure timely submission of project reports.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop and disseminate information about Skoun’s programs
  • Conduct ongoing research on potential funding streams that could enhance Skoun’s growth  and sustainability
  • Draft  project proposals and support the finance department budgeting for projects in line with Skoun’s strategic goals and with the context
  • Represent Skoun in key coordination groups and foraPrepare regular reports on program progress and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Masters’s degree in public health, social sciences, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in programs or grants management preferably in health or mental health
  • Experience working in a humanitarian crisis context.
  • Knowledge of the current Lebanese Humanitarian Response Architecture
  • Proven experience in partnership development and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic

  • Professional standard of ethics as well as the willingness and ability to enforce compliance with Skoun’s internal policies and procedures and external regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders  
  • A broad understanding of humanitarian and development programs coupled with the ability to analyze financial operational data and clearly present conclusions and recommendation
