Responsibilities and Deliverables
- In terms of increasing its organizational capacities for better impact, Fe-Male’s ambition is to invest in the development of a comprehensive Strategic Plan for 2023-2027 which would entail:
- A reflection on the organization’s previous work (through reviewing previous plans, annual reports, and case studies…) with a critical and learning lens (where is the organization particularly effective and successful, where is it not, what can it build on, etc.);
- Updates to the context analysis, including anticipated trends and adaptation measures that Fe-Male can take;
- Articulate clear strategic objectives and spell out the intervention logic, approach, and capacities that Fe-Male should deploy to achieve them;
- Include a brief theory of change within the strategy
- Identify and develop clear activities and outcomes
- Planning and moderating a 2-days strategy workshop and relevant consultations and validation meetings;
- Ensuring a participatory and inclusive process with the involvement of all stakeholders;
- Ensuring privacy and non-disclosure of sensitive data and information;
- Submitting an inception report with a process guide and strategic plan template and clear timelines, and a final strategy document upon finalizing the implementation process.
- In terms of developing the organization’s network, the consultant will work on developing Fe-Male’s Partnership Policy as per the below:
- Identify the organization’s partnerships principles and guidelines;
- Map partnerships with local/national actors (including NGOs, CSOs, CBOs, local authorities, academic institutions, professional associations, and the private sector), international organizations, and funders mainly feminist donors and those supporting gender issues;
- Suggest partnerships tools and tactics;
- Identify key gaps in terms of guidance or tools from an operational perspective (program; operations; risk and compliance) and suggest internal/external resources to address these gaps, if any;
- Understand how major stakeholders are thinking about the Fe-Male’s direction, generally and in reference to specific initiatives, through interviews with these stakeholders;
- Conducting research on prospective donors to determine those who might be interested in supporting Fe-Male’s cause;
- Suggest tools for building donor relationships and maintaining them.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with and/or extensive knowledge of humanitarian, development, feminist partnerships, work, and planning;
- Experience with and knowledge of the women’s rights and feminist movement in Lebanon;
- Experience in developing strategic plans and conducting organizational mappings and reviews, preferably for non-governmental and feminist organizations;
- Strong analytical and writing skills with proven experience in producing high-quality research with the ability to present complex information in a simple and accessible manner;
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English are mandatory;
- Knowledge of gender and familiarity with feminist work approaches;
