Hamed Center is seeking to recruit a talented Psychomotor Therapist who can work with vulnerable children who display learning difficulties or special needs. The Psychomotor Therapist will be able to help them improve their learning capacity and behavior through the provision of special reeducation and therapeutic tools, psychomotor techniques and comprehensive specialized services.

The main tasks that are expected to be performed by the Psychomotor Therapist are the following:

  1. Conduct individual, psychomotor sessions to children presenting with learning difficulties behavioral problems, and psychological or psychiatric conditions, based on assessment outcomes.
  2. To fill assessment forms and session record sheets after each session.
  3. To elaborate a treatment plan for each beneficiary.
  4. To report on the child’s evolution and progress to the supervisor, as requested.
  5. To prepare and share reports to teachers, indicating their students’ situation and progress; the report will also provide classroom tips and recommendations.
  6. To collaborate with parents through meetings in order to meet psychomotor goals and to evaluate the child's current level, personal areas for development, and capacities.
  7. Participate in the Team supervision sessions conducted at the center.
  8. To coordinate with the Project Coordinator, Supervisor, and Social Workers as needed.

9. To coordinate with other specialists, who are following-up with the same beneficiaries

 

The main skills that are expected to be performed by the Psychomotor Therapist, are the following:

  1. Utilizes different types of protocols, techniques and therapeutic tools to improve motor, cognitive skills and psychological wellbeing.

    2. Follows Restart Center’s policies and bylaws.

    3. Able to adapt to special situations or demands from the Supervisor.

    4. Good communication skills.

    5. Ability to work with beneficiaries from different backgrounds (cultural, ethnic, etc.)

    6. Excellent command of English and Arabic.

    7. Able to write reports.
