Experience and knowledge:

  • A minimum of 3 years working with civil society organizations in Lebanon; NGO/INGO experience is not essential.
  • Good understanding of human rights issues in Lebanon and rights-based approaches; working knowledge of refugee communities is an asset.
  • Experience with implementing project cycles from planning, to implementation, monitoring, evaluation is an asset.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with, supporting and strengthening civil society organizations.
  • Experience with budgeting and expenditure monitoring of partners.
  • Experience of using MS Office applications.

Skills and special aptitudes

  • Fluency in Arabic is required; English is an asset.

Responsibilities

General Description

The Project Coordinator is responsible for building and following up the relationship with project partners under the Lebanon Program portfolio.

 

This is a full-time position.

 

Specifically

  • Support and advise partners throughout the project implementation period.
  • Evaluate partners’ capacities using NPA’s tools and develop and implement capacity building plans.
  • Ensure proper project cycle implementation in-line with partnership agreements and donor requirements.
  • Comply with NPA Lebanon program requirements: planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
  • Follow-up with partners and other Lebanon and MENA country program staff on context developments that can affect the partners and the program.
  • Comply with project administrative requirements in coordination with relevant NPA staff.
  • Ensure proper archiving of documentation pertaining to the projects and partners.
  • In close collaboration with the Lebanon Programme Manager, contribute to the mapping and building relationships with potential partners for future project proposals.
  • In close collaboration with the Lebanon Programme Manager, participate concept note and project proposal writing.
