The Social Media Specialist is responsible for implementing the organization's Social Media strategy in order to increase awareness on Torture Prevention.
- Implement online tools that promote organization and boost client engagement.
- Build digital campaigns, create content, and follow-up projects' progress toward completion.
- Ensure these campaigns are released on time and remain effective for extended durations.
Duties and responsibilities of the Social Media Specialist
- Responsible for assisting the organization in designing and implementing its digital media plans and strategies to promote its objectives.
- Help achieve goals by implementing effective advertising on media platforms that target specific demographics with ads based on an individual's interest.
- Implement our organization’s social media strategy.
- Create social media content.
- Measure the success of every social media campaign.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
- Work with the management team, specialists, and front-liners to ensure content is informative and appealing.
- Provide constructive feedback.
Social Media Specialist job description should contain the following requirements and qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role and familiar with human rights and torture prevention.
- Social Media specialist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media best practices
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
- Good understanding of social media KPIs
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- BSc degree in Digital Media and Mass Communication with focus on Human Rights or relevant field.
