Community Mobilizer - Beirut
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
* Plan, coordinate and monitor ongoing project activities.
* Selection & onboarding of volunteers according to the project in hand.
* Design and implement outreach initiatives within target communities.
* Support in the selection of the project beneficiaries.
* Ensure the active involvement of target communities with a participatory approach.
* Mobilize and network with the partners and the key stakeholders for the implementation of the project activities.
* Monitor and supervise the activities implemented.
* Data collection and reporting.
* Translate and/or prepare the reports on project implementation to be presented to the donor/other partners, and the monthly project activity reports;
* Maintain a high level of collaboration and coordination with all team members.
* Monthly reports in English are required. Possibility of reporting in Arabic according to necessity.
* Ensure timely completion of project activities according to the weekly and monthly plans.
Education and Experience:
* A minimum of 1 year work experience in the field of development/human rights;
* Proven previous experience in community development and mobilization;
* A bachelor degree in Development, Social/Political Science or equivalent;
* Good English writing skills and research ability;
* Ability to work in a team and under pressure and against deadlines;
* Knowledge of INGO procedures;
* Perfect knowledge of Arabic;
* Knowledge and experience in gender issues and gender mainstreaming;
* Computer literate: Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional requirements:
* Negotiation and communication skills combined with high degree of patience and cultural sensitivity.
* Familiar with participatory approach, human rights and gender mainstreaming approach.
* Highly organized and able to work both autonomously and in team, with flexibility to take on additional tasks, as needed.
* Proactive and with strong sense of responsibility.
* Trustworthy, good listener, flexible, detail oriented and can maintain confidentiality.
* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills;
* Stress-resilient and able to cope with deadlines and complex problems.
* Possess cross-cultural sensitivity, knowledge and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
* A valid Driving license & a car
