ABOUT TALENT BEYOND BOUNDARIES 

Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB) envisions a world where forcibly displaced people can use their skills and talents to move to secure futures. We work with governments, employers and partners to overcome the barriers that often prevent refugees from accessing skilled migration pathways. TBB seeks to be a catalyst for systems change in skilled migration, laying the groundwork for this solution to scale to serve millions of displaced people. 

SCOPE OF ROLE

TBB has entered into partnerships with the National Health Service, the Department of Health and Social Care, and several private trusts to link displaced talent with roles in the healthcare sector in the UK. The Middle East Program Officer will play an integral role in ensuring the successful job recruitment and relocation processes of these professionals. TBB is seeking a highly-motivated and detail-oriented team member who is eager to be part of an innovative initiative that is driving transformational change for refugees globally. This is a challenging position that requires excellent interpersonal skills, impeccable organizational capabilities, and a high level of personal initiative. 

Please note that while the applicant may work remotely in this role, he/she must be based in either Jordan or Lebanon. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific duties:

  • Provide case management to refugee candidates to assist them through the process of preparing for recruitment and relocation to the healthcare sector in the UK. This could include but is not limited to: 
  • Using TBB technology to sort and identify potential job candidates
  • Conducting intakes of candidates and eligibility assessments for TBB’s program
  • Supporting candidates with resume building and interview preparation
  • Coordinating and reviewing visa applications, and assisting in document collection and translation as needed,
  • Arranging language and other qualification exams, biometrics, and medicals for travel
  • Arranging travel and creating departure plans 
  • Explore and share creative solutions to address barriers preventing refugee access to skilled migration globally. 
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on program outcomes and actively contribute to global TBB learning, evaluation and reflection initiatives.
  • Other duties as required.  

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTITUDES

Essential

  • Fluency in both spoken and written Arabic and English required
  • At least 1 year of professional work experience, preferably in international recruitment and mobility, visa applications, human resources and/or international development
  • Proven record of effective program management, ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • A clear communicator with a demonstrated ability to establish effective and working relations with all the types of stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in an international workplace and coordinating with teams across the globe. 
  • Strong cultural awareness and tolerance to diversity especially in the details pertaining to the refugee crisis.
  • Passion for TBB’s mission and willingness to go the extra mile to achieve successful results.
  • Must exercise good judgment and be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively in order to deliver best outcomes.
  • Strong computer literacy and willingness to use/learn to use a range of online collaborative tools (Salesforce, Slack, Google Suite, Trello etc).
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment, tolerance of rapid change and ambiguity. 

Desirable

  • Successful completion of relevant Bachelors’ or Masters’ level qualifications
  • Lived refugee experience.
