Job Vacancy: Field Coordinator
Job Location: Mount Hermon
Role description:
The coordination and the direct implementation of all field-based project activities and overseeing on a day to day basis the sound and timely implementation of all technical tasks.
Key responsibilities:
•Take part in the development and implementation of all work plans
•Monitor the implementation of all field activities raising delays and issues with Project Coordinator
•Provide suggestions to Project Coordinator for adaptive management when expected results are not being achieved
•Provide regular reports on project progress and implementation to the Project Coordinator
•Take part in the installation of any infrastructure needed(especially for the Mount Hermon Protected |Area)
•Provide technical support to the teams that will be working in the area (data collection experts, municipalities, shepherds and farmers)
•Collect the needed data from the field such as biodiversity, assessments, photos…etc.
•Provide logistic support for the training and meetings.
•Coordinate closely with Shouf Biosphere Reserve field team for the implementation of activities
•Take part in all training activities for capacity building and training
•Support in the awareness-raising activities for the local communities and visitors
•Perform any other duty requested by the Project Coordinator- related to the project
Requirements for position:
•Good knowledge of the Mount Hermon area
•Second language oral and writing skills(mainly English)
•Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) , basic software applications and familiarity with the internet and email communications
•Very good interpersonal and communication skills , in addition to conflict management skills
•Reporting skills
•Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations, and adapt within the working environment within a team setting.
•Driving license and ability to drive cars with manual gearbox
