- Working Relationships: Sponsors, Legal counsel, Community and other professional associations, Government officials, Board of Trustees, Outsourced Personnel, Vendors
- JOB ROLES & RespoNSIBILITIES
- Mission, Policy & Planning
- Develop BAM’s strategy and direction and cascade it to the departments’ managers.
- Revise and approve departmental business plans set by the senior team, ensure alignment with BMA’s approved strategy and objectives.
- Set BMA’s 3 years’ rolling plan and budget, submit and get Board and President for approval.
- Direct, plan, amend & oversee implementation of BMA’s policies and procedures to maximize revenues and increase productivity.
- Define, endorse and convey BMA’s culture and values to internal and external Stakeholders.
- Legal & Compliance
- Work closely with the Legal Counsel to ensure legal compliance with local laws.
- Ensure compliance with the IAAF and LAF regulations.
- Management & Administration
- Recommend and devise an organizational structure and authority matrix that supports BMA’s growth plan.
- Develop a supportive work environment that recruits, retains and supports best in class team members.
- Ensure proper systems and processes are in place to implement best practices in attracting, selecting, developing, motivating, compensating, and evaluating team members.
- Clearly communicate & cascade business plans to ensure all team members understand BMAs goals and objectives and their individual roles and objectives in contributing to BMA’s growth and plan implementation.
- Appoint, set objectives, coach, empower and ensure periodic evaluation of the senior team.
- Finance
- Oversee BMAs financial activities including budgeting, reporting and auditing.
- Ensure financial sustainability to meet current and projected growth.
- Direct and monitor Sales and Marketing activities to ensure sponsorship revenues growth.
- Community Relations
- Identify and develop relationships with ongoing sponsors and potential new sponsors.
- Cultivate and build successful long-term relationships with government bodies, municipalities and federations.
- Represent BMA at the highest levels by attending relevant business events and conducting public presentations. This will include significant interface at a senior level within Government circles and the wider business community.
- Develop cooperative relationships with key stakeholders.
- Governance
- Ensure that the monthly operating statements are published in a timely manner.
- Keep the President and the Board well informed through periodic reports and meetings.
- Ensure Board decisions related to the operation are implemented.
- QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify as BMA’s ED, you should have the below as a minimum set of skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science – NGOs, International affairs, or related fields.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in NGOs.
Proven track record experience in Fundraising.
Proven track record in sales and marketing/public relations in the sport sector or in a comparable sector at a senior management level.

- Relationship Building: demonstrates credibility, confidence, and ability to gain trust and respect of all stakeholders.
- Technical competencies:
- Good Knowledge in fundraising principles.
- Broad understanding of the measurement of profitability and the cost-effective use of resources, supported by a track record of achieving budget and profit objectives.
