About the USAID-Funded Community Support Program (CSP) in Lebanon:

USAID’s Community Support Program (2018 – 2025) is designed to improve the delivery of essential services and enhance economic opportunities, primarily in Lebanon’s North, South, and Beqaa regions. Through its support of municipalities and underserved and vulnerable communities, CSP aims to improve lives and reduce tensions that contribute to conflict and violence in the country.

Description of Intervention:

As part of the USAID-funded Community Support Program, Chemonics is soliciting proposals from eligible companies in construction and water/wastewater treatment industries for the implementation of the activity, “Construction of Bchaale Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Collection System”.

The overall objective of the intervention is to eliminate hazards caused by the disposal of untreated wastewater in Bchaale - which is currently neither connected to a sewage system nor being served by a WWTP - by constructing a WWTP along with a wastewater collection system.
