About Lebanon Support

Lebanon Support is an action-oriented, non-profit research centre for and about civil society.

We are a multidisciplinary space creating synergies and bridging between researchers, experts, civil society and NGO practitioners, and activists. Lebanon Support aims to foster social change through innovative uses of social science, digital technologies, and publication and exchange of knowledge.

We achieve our action-oriented mission through 3 main programs:

Job purpose: 

Manage the centre’s communication and outreach (online, as well as traditional media), and ensure proper follow up on the centre’s websites content, in line with the centre’s identity.

Under the direct supervision of the Director, Deputy Director, and Programmes Officer, the main tasks include:

I- Communication

- Plan and implement the centre’s communication strategy and schedule using the relevant follow up and planning tools.

- Liaise with media outlets and follow up with media contacts to publicise Lebanon Support’s projects, activities, and publications.

- Plan and develop email bulletins to be sent to the mailing list.

- Track and evaluate the visibility and outreach of Lebanon Support projects, and publications, including but not limited to: in the media, in citations, on social media, or through the website’s analytics

- Assist the team in preparing events and in preparing presentations about Lebanon Support and its programmes.

II- Content management and editing of Lebanon Support’s platforms

- Updating and maintaining Lebanon Support’s websites, in line with the communication plan.

- Coordinating and managing Lebanon Support’s communication and outreach efforts with civil society actors and developing communication content. 

- Perform other tasks that may arise as requested. 

Qualifications:

BA degree or higher qualifications in communications and media studies, marketing, journalism, public relations or a related field.

1 to 2 years of experience in the relevant field 

Fluency in English and Arabic are minimum requirements. Knowledge of French is highly desirable;

Excellent management and organisational skills;

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good public presentation skills, and a very strong capacity for effective teamwork.
