Placemaking M.E. Region is proposing a project intitled "Rehabilitation of Bsharri's Facades" benefiting the village of Bsharri, the local community and refugees residing in the village
Project Objectives:
- Build community assets that strengthen livelihoods and enhance resilience for vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian refugees.
- Enhance strengthening locally owned businesses through improving local economy such as restaurants, shops, hotels and touristic resorts and attract new businesses
- Enhance tourism activities, favoring social interaction and improving socio-economic and health well-being.
Summary of Position
The Field Officer maintains relationships with Cash for Work (CFW) workers to follow- up on the attendance, and logistical needs such as insurance, safety, payment, food and transportation. In addition to the responsibility of communication and project archiving and documentation.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate workers payments and enter workers data;
- Confirm receipt of payments for workers;
- Assist in the procurement process – Contact providers, receive quotations, develop selection memos and follow up on deliveries of the goods, while following the procurement policy;
- Assist the field team when needed;
- Conduct phone surveys with workers and their households;
- Develop worker-related reports for Placemaking M.E Region;
- Focal point for communication and that includes: Produce success stories that includes photography, gathering quotes, and narratives of the interventions, posts on social Media, and other visibility items.
- Outreach to workers; and
- Any other related activities and assistance that may reasonably be required.
- Regular reports on workers data (number of workers hired, workers profile data, etc);
- Assessment report for workers and worker profile forms filled;
- Updated workplan tracking sheet on a monthly basis; and
- Monthly work progress reports.
Qualifications
- University degree is required.
- Good academic and proven practical knowledge in the field of community mobilization, coordination of community activities, and any related field;
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience working with rural communities and Municipalities is preferred;
- Strong analytical, communication and inter-personal skills;
- Good reporting skills;
- Excellent knowledge of local context in the North in general and Becharri in particular;
- Written and oral communication skills in English preferred;
- Positive, respectful attitude and collaborative approach to problem solving;
- Demonstrated attention to detail; ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently as well as cooperatively with team members;
- Good computer skills on MS Office programs;
Reporting
The field officer will report directly to the Project Manager.
