Location: Southern Beirut (Hay El Gharbeh)
Work type: Fixed-term full-time (8:00 AM- 3:30 PM).
Job Responsibilities:
The Finance and HR Officer is responsible for organization-wide financial operations including internal and external financial reporting and budget preparation. This position will also provide HR functions including monthly payroll. The Finance and HR Officer will demonstrate commitment and adherence to Tahaddi’s core values of justice, integrity and compassion.
Detailed job description:
Finance
- Ensure adherence to Tahaddi’s Financial policies and donor requirements
- Ensure day to day financial functions are performed.
- Maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flow
- Develop the annual budget and regularly monitor against this.
- Prepare budgets and financial reports for Board and General Assembly meetings. Attend these meetings as requested.
- Prepare and submit internal and external donor reports and analysis as required.
- Develop new reports and analysis to support monitoring, as needed.
- Support donor audit processes
- Prepare budgets and financial information for new project proposals, as required.
- Develop and file individual and supplier contracts. Review relevant terms of reference and supporting documents for all new contracts; review deliverables and ensure processing of payments
- Perform other related duties as required.
Human Resources
- Prepare monthly payroll including all relevant tax and social benefit filing and payroll slips.
- Monitor sick leave and vacation days
- Ensure employee files are up-to-date and secure, including updated job descriptions
- Coordinate staff recruitment including posting of vacancies and scheduling of interviews
- Based on Tahaddi’s HR manual, conduct staff orientation to all new staff including on Child Protection.
- Develop and communicate annual holiday schedules
- Provide information and assistance to staff and management on human resources-related issues. Provide advice and recommendations related to employee relations
- Handle employee relations and complaints
- Provide advice and training to managers on conducting performance appraisals
- Conduct exit interviews
- Regularly update the Tahaddi HR Policies and Procedures Manual in line with the Lebanese labor law and best practices
- Ensure personnel files are up-to-date and secure
- Prepare visa letters, letters of employment and generic letters of recommendation, as necessary
- Perform other related duties as required
Job Holder Profile:
Education: BS in Business Administration or other related discipline. Maters in Finance level training preferred.
Experience: At least 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in a similar NGO setting
