1.   Main Objective:

 

This position falls under the capacity building component of the MADAD REBAHS - (Reducing Economic Barriers to Access Health Services in Lebanon) project which aims to increase the capacity of both mental health and non-mental health professionals working on the field with trainings that can empower them in their day-to-day work. This position involves coordination of the activities between FPS and the NMHP and is primarily focused around ensuring their appropriate planning and implementation.

 

The Consultant shall be responsible for coordinating the preparation and the implementation of the PM+ training workshops (TOT and roll-out workshops) as well as subsequent supervision. She/he shall act in close coordination with FPS and under the technical supervision of MoPH-NMHP in order to guarantee coherence with the national strategy and to meet all training objectives.

 

 

2.   Main Tasks:

 

General:

  • Coordinate with the MOPH-NMHP and FPS all training requirements, scheduling, participants’ profile, and other relevant requirements
  • Coordinate with the concerned FPS staff concerning the schedule of the different training workshops as per the different regions selected, as well as define all related administrative and logistics aspects ensured by FPS 
  • Guarantee and oversee the regular implementation of all training workshops and ensure on-site presence during training days 
  • Participate in drafting the training forms (e.g. pre and post-tests, etc.) if needed

 

TOT:

  • Participate in the planning of the trainings in collaboration with the trainers from WHO and coordinate with FPS
  • Develop eligibility and selection criteria for training workshops participants, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, MOPH, etc.
  • Prepare the online application form and send invitations to potential applicants in the TOT, coordinating with FPS 
  • Receive participants’ applications and participate in the selection process in coordination with NMHP, WHO and FPS
  • Send invitations to the eligible applicants
  • Confirm attendance of the selected candidates for the TOT
  • Assist during training days

 

Supervision:

  • Coordinate weekly calls over 3 months for 2 groups per week
  • Organize the right slot for every group with the consultant from WHO – twice per week
  • Follow-up on weekly calls with all participants to ensure attendance
  • Provide weekly updates to FPS on supervision progress and workplan

 

Roll-out Sessions:

  • Coordinate with the PHC directors and NGOs, as needed, to invite relevant nurses, social workers and case managers
  • Participate in the selection of the 40 nurses, social workers and CM
  • Allocate the participants into 3 groups to be trained in parallel 
  • Invite the attendees and confirm the attendance for the 3 groups
  • Coordinate the logistics and administrative issues with FPS

 

 

3.   Deliverables:

 

  • Monthly report on all training and supervision activities

 

 

4.   Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in public health
  • Masters’ degree is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of similar work experience
  • Strong coordination skills
  • Motivated-and ability to work in a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willing to travel across Lebanon

 

 

6.   Languages and Computer Literacy:

 

  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
