Review of the Public Procurement Legal Framework in Lebanon Possibilities for Incorporating Environmental and Social Sustainability Criteria

The “Review of the Public Procurement Legal Framework in Lebanon” introduces the Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) in Lebanon and elaborates on the legal of the country’s procurement and sustainability laws that may offer a legal possibility for the adoption of SPP principles, in addition to the existing procurement practices and the legal adaptions given to them. For this purpose, various examples are presented as possible models to follow in the adoption and implementation of SPP laws. The report also recommends a legal path for Lebanon in its endeavor to arrive at its SPP objectives.
