Background
 
Dari has been active in the Baalbek region since 2007 in particular researching and collecting data on SGBV as well as implementing support services for women and children through a community center in Baalbek and in direct and active collaboration with the SDCs of Ministry of Social Affairs.
           
 In partnership with Heartland Alliance, Beyond Association is in the process of launching a safe women space that provides holistic services focusing on psychosocial support, violence prevention, livelihoods strengthening and social cohesion to diverse vulnerable populations affected by the Syrian refugee crisis, including women and girls, and survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV), torture and trauma.
 
 
Summary: The part-time Psychotherapist will be based in Baalbek and take the responsibility of providing individual and group psychotherapy as well as conducting focus group discussion issues related to mental health and thus contributing to the range of services provided by the Safe Women Space. The duration of the project is 6 months with possible extension.
 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 

Provide psychotherapy to those affected by the  Syrian refugee crisis when needed and members of the host community in the Safe Women Space
Provide psychosocial support – groups and individuals – to trauma survivors and conflict affected persons
Work directly with the social worker to develop intervention plans and follow up at the home level
Provide regular feedback to the Case Management (CM) team especially the social worker regarding the follow up of the cases and progress of therapy.
Provide direct support and guidance to the social worker on common cases
Conduct in-center awareness sessions on mental health

     
Qualifications & Experience:
 

Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.
Finalized or in the process of finalizing training on psychotherapy – integrative approach.
Fluent in spoken Arabic and good knowledge of English language.
Previous NGO experience is a plus.
Personal interest in educational and mental health issues.
Good communication and teamwork skills
