POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Social Worker and Focal Point
Reports To: Project Manager
Location: Baalbek

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Focal Point and Social Worker’s primary responsibilities will be to support implementation, monitoring, programmatic and financial reporting, and day-to-day operations of the SECURE WOMEN & GIRLS safe space and community center based in Baalbek.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Co-locate at the local partner office to provide day-to-day programmatic and operational support to the project safe space;
Ensure development of center activity schedules and work plans according to project scope of work and donor requirements;
Provide training and assistance to partner staff as needed in donor-required implementation plans;
Support preparation and delivery of timely programmatic and financial reports, including making purchases or completing monitoring reports as needed;
Support social workers, child care attendants, and partner program staff to provide high-quality services to Syrian refugee women and girls and host community program participants / beneficiaries;
Ensure completion of all monitoring and evaluation paperwork for partner activities to provide accurate and complete data on all program participants or beneficiaries;
Liaise with or visit other partner staff to ensure a standard model for program implementation across partners and locations;
Conduct inventory on purchased supplies and ensure all materials are distributed to program participants/ beneficiaries;
Report to the Project Manager with ongoing communication with the Program and Logistics Officer to support other tasks, as requested.
SCHEDULE
Full time with some travel to Beirut or short visits to program sites around Lebanon.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Undergraduate degree in social sciences, psychology, social work, or related field;
Minimum of one year of experience working for a community organization or NGO;
Direct experience working with refugees in Lebanon;
Extremely detail-oriented;
Demonstrated experience conducting trainings in social work, community-based approaches, child care, or other social services;
Strong mediation and communication skills;
Strong MS Office skills; and
Written and Oral fluency in both Arabic and English.
