Position Summary:
This is a call for advocacy coordinator in association Najdeh, the overall object objective of the program is to promote human rights for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
Preferably, the applicant should be a Palestinian refugee and also a resident in Beirut.
Sub-objectives:
-          Stressing the 194 resolution of the Palestinian refugees’ right to return’.
-          Change policies, laws and discriminatory attitudes concerning the right to workfor Palestinian  refugees in Lebanon
-          Change policies, laws and discriminatory attitudes concerning the right to own propertyfor Palestinian  refugees in Lebanon
-          Calling for the right of Nahr El Bared Refugees to return back to their camp as before the destruction since May 2007, and their right of free movement into and out of the camp.
Responsibilities
The advocacy coordinator will be responsible for carrying out the following:
-          Framing the program strategic plan in coordination with the association stakeholder’s members.
-          Follow up the implementation of the action plan in all areas
-          Following up and supervising the implementation of the activities
-          Coordinate for lobby meetings with the decision makers (ministers - MPs - syndicates- unions and trade unions – embassies…)
-          Oversee the production of a private program and campaign media materials
-          Building, and following  up relationship with civil society organizations working within Palestinian refugees communities
-          Building and following up relationship with regional and international organizations
-          Attend and coordinate for the Human rights  meetings
-          Participate  in the  coalition meetings  when necessary
-          Provide monthly ,  semi -annual and annual reports  for the program and the campaign
-          Participate in local and international training workshops.
Requirements and Qualifications
Preferably, the applicant should be a Palestinian refugee and also a resident in Beirut
-          A degree in the field of law, social science, political science
-          Previous experience in social/ political/ legal/ law sides
-          Good social media skills
-          Good computer skills
-          Fluency in written and spoken English
