Background:
Min ila is a Lebanese NGO founded in 2013. Min ila envisions a society with active, empowered and alerted citizens capable of creating a social change. Its mission is to empower citizens – especially the youth and the marginalized – through fostering civic education, promoting a culture of social responsibility and nurturing an engagement to the nation.
Min ila will be the leading partner in a new project funded by the Swiss Embassy in Lebanon, in partnership with "Development and Beyond", "The Chain Effect" and "Frame". The project aims to promote and increase the civic knowledge and civic engagement of Lebanese and non-Lebanese disadvantaged youth aged 15-17. 
In the framework of this project, a team will be created to implement, monitor and ensure the overall success of this project. The team will consists of a Project Manager (PM) and an Accountant. The PM will report to the Steering Committee of the project.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible to oversee the project planning and implementation in total compliance with the donors’ policies and regulations. He/she will ensure smooth budget preparation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of all project activities.
The PM will also provide technical and administrative support to local partners (mainly schools) and resolve issues both within the job responsibilities as well as in coordination with the project team. He/she will represent Min ila and work in collaboration with relevant partners. 
Job Responsibilities:
Financial and budget management
- Manage the relevant project budget and provide monthly budget comparison report analysis on project spending and life of project projected spending.
- Prepare budget advances and submit them to the donor.
- Timely produce budget reports to the donor as per reporting schedule. Managerial coordination between the partners and the donor
- Lead the Project Team in coordinating project planning and monitoring activities.
- Write and review narrative reports as per the donor’s requirements and reporting schedule and submit them to the Steering Committee before final approval.
- Mediate as necessary among all involved actors during project life.
- Identify trainers and consultants for specific project activities when needed.
- Manage the contracts with all consultants and trainers.
- Advise the Steering Committee about issues affecting project implementation, or key local issues affecting future project developments.
- Coordinate with the team on activities in support of the project, including seminars, trainings and conferences.
- Occasionally represent the project to various internal and external audiences.
- Ensure adequate flow of information on all project activities to all concerned, in particular to the Steering Committee and the donor.
- Elaborate and follow-up on the project Monitoring and Evaluation plan.
- Evaluate and refine overall project methodology in collaboration with the Steering Committee.
Team management tasks
- Directly supervise the Project Coordinator, the Accountant and the Administrative Assistant.
- Actively participate in the recruitment process of trainers and consultants (setting criteria, preparation of the call for statement of interest, final selection).
- Actively participate in curriculum development, providing approaches, materials and tools.
- Establish and maintain excellent collaborative working relationships with all partners.
- Actively promote effective networking and collaborative working environment among partners.
- Enhance the capacity of project team to support and work with all partners based on relevant competencies.
- Work with all partners to find solutions and methodologies to overcome project challenges.
- Report project concerns/questions/requests/challenges in a responsive and timely manner.
- Seek, establish and maintain external relationships that will be beneficial to the project.
- Maintain project documentation from the field.
- Participate in information sharing and transferring skills and knowledge to other team members.
- Lead evaluation meetings on progress when necessary and/or at the request of the Steering Committee and the Donor. 
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Social Work, Management or any related field.
- Minimum of three years work experience in development programs with NGOs.
- Minimum of three years work experience with donor-funded projects.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English, French and Arabic.
- Strong cross-cultural skills and experience working with people from different ethnic/cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong teamwork and with local partners.
- Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with donors, local organizations, communities and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work with a diverse number of partners including strong capacity building skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and represent the Project Team.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
