Project Manager

Organizational setting
This position is located in the Office of Coordination at the Lebanese Association of Early Childhood Development and has a direct report to Head of office, the President of LAECD.
 
Responsibilities
The Project Manager with the guidance and supervision of the Head of Office will be responsible to run the project in close support of the assigned officers and assistants:
 

Plan the activities of the project and monitor progress against the initial quality criteria in close coordination with the project officers;
Assist the Head of Office to mobilize goods and services needed for activities, including drafting TORs and work specifications;
Assist the Head of Office to manage day to day administrative and operations matters;
Conduct field visits to during the activities implementation to ensure efficient and timely implementation of the project activities;
Monitor events as determined in the approved Monitoring & Communication Plan, and update the plan as required;
Compile lessons learned and good practices in close collaboration with the Head of Office;
Monitor financial resources and accounting to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reports;
Monitor the project risks and submit new risks to Head of Office for consideration and decision on possible actions if required;
Prepare the Project Quarterly Progress Report (progress against planned activities, update on Risks and Issues, expenditures) and submit the report to the Head of Office;
Prepare and submit quarterly reports as well as donor reports as required.
Provide technical support for the officers and assistant in order to ensure compliance, quality of implementation and expected achievements.
Promote and advocate for the project and represent LAECD as requested in relevant national seminars, meetings of work groups and panels, and project periodic evaluation and review meetings.
Ensure LAECD regulations, standards and guidelines are adhered to.

 
Qualifications
- Health background: nurse, midwife, pharmacist and other related health specialty or public health.
- 4 years, experience in humanitarian work specifically working with refugees, National or International NGO, with focus on program management.
- Proficiency in standard computer applications including Microsoft word, excel and internet navigation.
