Child Protection Animator - Tyre and Zahrani

Working closely with the Director of Programs, the Humanitarian Project Manager is responsible for implementing and coordinating Mercy Corps’ emergency response programming in South Lebanon. S/he will forge partnerships with a range of relevant county government departments, private sector actors, community members and other key stakeholders to ensure Mercy Corps’ activities remain coordinated and responsive to needs.

Terre des hommes foundation has been present in Lebanon since 1977. We provide life saving child protection assistance to the most vulnerable children and their families regardless of their nationality, ethnic origin and religious affiliation. Through our child protection in migration and access to justice programmes, our staff support victims of physical and sexual abuse, worst forms of child labor, child marriage, severe neglect and children in contact or conflict with the law. We work with children, their families, communities, NGO and UN partners, local authorities and religious leaders.

Founded in 2013, Association Nabad for Development, hereinafter referred to as NABAD, is a civil, nongovernmental and non-profit organization working on the alleviation of human suffering, dismantlement of injustices, development of impoverished and disenfranchised communities, and empowerment of individuals. With the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as its base for action, Nabad’s principal focus is on ensuring that individuals and communities are aware about their rights and responsibilities.

Amel Association International (Amel) is a Lebanese non-sectarian NGO created in 1979. Amel has worked through 32 centers, 6 mobile medical units, 2 education mobile units, and 1 protection mobile unit for more than 4 decades in the most vulnerable regions of Lebanon, from Beirut and its south Suburbs to Mount Lebanon, Bekaa, and South Lebanon. Amel offers accessible and quality activities for all in the following sectors: health care, protection, livelihood, food security, education, and human rights promotion.

Outreach Worker will be responsible for supporting, gathering and collecting data needed to implement the project.

The Emergency Response Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer is responsible for proactively supporting the overall MEL strategy, procedure and implementation of Mercy Corps’ Lebanon response to displacement of populations in South Lebanon. The Sr. MEL Officer is expected to contribute to the quality assurance of program implementation.
