The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer is responsible for engaging in data collection, analysis, reporting and validation activities, and providing direct support to the Line Manager in contributing to quality programming and organizational learning.

The role of the M&E Officeris to establish and implement systems to promote evidence-based decision-making and to ensure harmonized monitoring and evaluation practices (M&E) practices across programmes and team members. The position holder will support the design of standardized M&E processes and tools in coordination with all partners. This will involve: creating, developing, and supporting teams to use M&E systems to collect, aggregate and analyse data; and play a key role in ensuring that the reporting needs are met.

In January 2014 as part of IRC child protection programs, the IRC began implementing a specialized project which serves at risk and vulnerable working children in child labour, including in its worst forms (street, mechanics, and construction). Service provisions include providing psycho-social support and case management services for street and working children in Mount Lebanon and Tripoli.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant is responsible for: quantitative and qualitative data collection in the clinics and settlements from among Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese; data cleaning; data analysis and communication; and maintenance of data collection hardware. S/he will directly implement and ensure that the monitoring activities are carried out to a high standard and in line with Medair, donor and other guidelines.
