Oxfam Lebanon Programme

Oxfam is a global movement of people, working together to end the injustice of poverty. Oxfam has been working in Lebanon since 1993. We provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people affected by conflict, and we promote economic justice and good governance, and women’s rights. Oxfam also works with local partners to contribute to the protection and empowerment of marginalized women and men.

 

Project Objective:

The project aims to secure the needed water storage tank to ensure the safe access to water for the internal displaced families and host community in Beirut, Zahle and Nabatieh. The specific locations will be shared with winner suppliers.

 

Content of Works:

• Quantity is 480 water storage tanks.
• Based on the location and situation, Oxfam would request hollow block base, water taps, connector valves and Teflon rolls.
• Oxfam WASH Team is responsible to monitor and confirm the work.
• The period of delivery is one week from the date signing the PO.
• The supplier should prepare and submit technical and financial offer for the works, detailed Bills of Quantities, and execution schedule.
• The supplier will be responsible on the delivery process to Oxfam’s are of intervention.
• The supplier will abide the provision based on the requested specification.
• The supplier is requested to provide quantity as the table below.
• Oxfam has the right to increase or decrease quantities at the same unit cost. Oxfam has the right to purchase water tank without other items.
• Oxfam has the right to select different suppliers for the same market and the quantity might be split between them.
• The quantity of items requested will differ based on the needs which will be defined later for emergency response. 

 

Water Tanks

• All water tanks should be three layers, high quality polyethylene cylindrical water storage tanks, Grey color, for potable use, with cover and with necessary holes for inlet outlet and overflow pipes but without fittings etc.
• Water tank should have the capacity to resist high temperature, non-degradable or affected by high sunlight, resistant Ultraviolet (UV) rays and manufactured from non-toxic material that does not affect the odour and taste of water.

The supplier will be responsible for the quality of supplied Items. The supplier should replace the rejected/ damaged Items within 3 days.

 

Water tap and accessories:

• Supply water tap 1/2', Heavy and painted with chrome,
• Connector 1/2 to 3/4 inch between water tank and water tap
• Teflone roll

Oxfam will check one sample before the preparing all the quantity.

 

Hollow block base for the water tank:

• The Supplier should install the water tank on hollow block base, height 40 cm. The number of hollow blocks for 1000 water tank is approximately 18.

Note: Oxfam has the right to purchase water storage tank without Water tap and accessories and without Hollow block.

Requested Documents

• Company registration documents 
• Copy of the ID of the representative/owner of the company.
• Ministry of Finance registration certificate and VAT if applicable.
• Proof of experience, the bidder must make available a minimum of Three reference projects.
• Full Specifications/Technical Details/Datasheet of all the items/equipment.
• Delivery time
• The bidder should include costs for transportation.
• Bidder shall provide completed priced Bill of Quantities (BOQ). The unit prices and rates must be presented in US dollars for each of the offer item.

NB: This purchase is made for emergency situations.

 

Date of delivery:

One week after signing the agreement.
