Facilitator for Training of Trainers

Background and Job Summary

SHIFT is a social innovation hub for social transformation in Qobbe, Jabal Mohsen, and Bab Al Tabanneh. We are committed to creating a positive, diverse, and harmonious environment that fosters inspiration, learning, and sustainable socio-economic impact, resulting in community transformation.

Our organization is looking to enhance the facilitation and workshop designing and management skills for a group of media and content creation professionals. We seek a qualified trainer to provide training in content preparation, development, and training conducting.

The project is funded by Zfd through GIZ in partnership with SHiFT- Social Innovation Hub. It aims to create inclusive, informed, and economically empowered communities by enhancing media literacy and promoting nonviolent communication. Participants will receive comprehensive training to critically analyze and produce media content, address and reduce stereotypes and prejudices and resolve conflicts peacefully. The project focuses on fostering entrepreneurship in media-related fields, supporting youth and marginalized groups, and sustaining community engagement through mentorship programs. By equipping individuals with these skills, the project seeks to transform marginalized areas, celebrate cultural richness, and ensure lasting social cohesion and economic growth.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• • Develop a comprehensive training program focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, develop, and conduct professional training sessions.
  • Conduct interactive training sessions that cover:

    Facilitation skills and techniques

    Content preparation and development

    Training and workshop management

• • Provide practical exercises and assignments to allow participants to apply learned concepts in real-world scenarios.
  • Offer guidance on creating engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, handouts, and multimedia resources.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on participants' training plans and materials.
  • Share best practices and resources related to effective training methods and workshop management.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment and encourage active participation and collaboration among participants.

Qualifications and Experience

• • Proven expertise in training design, development, and delivery, particularly in the context of presentation and facilitation, trainings management and content designing and development.
  • Previous experience in conducting training of trainers (ToT) programs or similar workshops.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles and effective training methodologies.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups of participants.
  • Sensitivity to conflict-related issues and discrimination.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.

Professional Experience:

• • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in training, media, communication, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and address unexpected challenges during training sessions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of effective strategies against hate speech and racism.
  • Proficiency in using various training tools and multimedia platforms.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

Conditions

•  20 Actual training hours.
