Protection Specialist/Psychologist

Terms of Reference (TOR) – Protection specialist Consultant (training and coaching) / psychologist

Project: Increasing Resilience of Crisis Affected Women and Girls in Tyre (Sour) through comprehensive Livelihood and Protection Services.

1.Objective: The Protection Specialist Consultant (Training and Coaching) / Psychologist will play a critical role in enhancing the content and delivery of empowerment sessions for women and girls, as well as providing training of trainers for Cash for Work individuals on protection issues. The project aims to address the immediate and long-term needs of vulnerable families in Tyre-South Lebanon through a holistic approach that focuses on the safety, well-being, and empowerment of women and girls.

2. Responsibilities:

• Review and enhance the content of PSS/ empowerment sessions for women and girls.
• Develop training materials and deliver training of trainers for Cash for Work individuals on protection issues.
• Provide technical support and coaching to Cash for Work individuals to ensure effective delivery of empowerment sessions.
• Conduct regular monthly monitoring and evaluation of training sessions to ensure quality and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the project team to integrate protection issues into all project activities.
• Coordinate with the social worker and project coordinator on activities implementation.
• Compile and document data collected as requested by INITIATE
• Attend coordination meetings as requested.

3. Key Deliverables:

• Enhanced content for PSS empowerment sessions for women and girls.
• Training materials and sessions delivered for Cash for Work individuals on protection issues.
• Regular monitoring and evaluation reporting on quarterly basis .

4. Qualifications:

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in providing training and coaching on protection issues.
• Strong knowledge of gender-based violence and protection principles.
• Experience working in crisis or conflict-affected settings.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.

5. Reporting

• Report to the Project Coordinator.
• Provide regular updates on activities and outcomes.

6. Coordination

• Coordinate closely with other project staff, particularly the Project Coordinator and Protection Focal Point.
• Collaborate with partner organizations and stakeholders.

Duration and Location:

• Consultancy position for the duration of the project in Tyre, Lebanon.
