World Learning – QITABI 2: Junior Education Researcher
USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI 2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools.
World Learning has a consultancy vacancy for a “Junior Education Researcher" for the USAID- funded Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI 2) in Lebanon. The consultant will assist in reviewing documents and records to prepare a final report including Desk Research, Interviews, Write-up and Analysis. This position is for a Lebanese national.

- Desk Research
Read through quarterly reports and other reports on QITABI 2 and extract highlights of key themes and moments. Summarize and synthesize findings into note-taking templates provided.

Convert findings into reader-friendly timelines, tables, textboxes, infographics, and paragraphs.

Responsibilities:
It is important to note the following:
Tasks, Deliverables, Estimated LOE, and Deadlines: Time should be kept track of on a half-hourly (30 min) basis and recorded in a timesheet (template to be provided by World Learning) with details as to the activity engaged in; time unused will not be paid. Time may be extended if justified; however, this must be on explicit written agreement with World Learning before using any additional time. Check-in calls, ad hoc meetings, email updates, and written reports will be required as part of the tasks outlined above.
Qualifications:
- BA or Master’s degree in education or related field
- Proven strong research skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the knowledge of interviewing techniques
- Familiarity with the public education and non-formal education sectors in Lebanon
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills
- High-level proficiency in English and Arabic (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Ensure safeguarding requirements are applied and reflected in the solicitation and contract as applicable
- Team-oriented attitude and a professional demeanor
