Territorial and Landscape Management Consultant

The Association for forests, Development and Conservation (AFDC) was awarded project from RMF, a USAID-fund project entitled “Promoting Sustainable Livelihoods”.

In particular, the objective of the PSL Project is to improve the livelihoods of the residents in the targeted municipalities through various interventions that include training, technical assistance, infrastructure rehabilitation, promotion of local products and access to markets and supporting the development of the local touristic sector. The project hopes to improve the livelihoods of 31,500 households across 105 municipalities in the North, Bekaa, South and Mount Lebanon areas.

For that, AFDC is looking for a Territorial and Landscape Management Consultant to support in setting the basis for sustainable development plans for the targeted communities that are based on a territorial and landscape approaches. The consultant, through this mission, will collaborate with targeted communities and other project experts to set up frameworks that account for development opportunities built on the regions’ social and natural capitals and with respect to the Lebanese legislations and national development master plans.

The Territorial and Landscape Management Consultant will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and should be holding a master's degree in sustainable development with livelihoods background, land use planning, urban planning, or any related field.
