Following the Beirut Explosion on August 4th, 2020, ACT Alliance members in Lebanon directly engaged in emergency & life sustaining activities in addition to distributing ready-to-eat food, facilitating psychological first aid, removing rubble and cleaning damages homes, ensuring protection and providing temporary shelter targeting around 40,480 people living in the affected area, who lost family members or property. The magnitude & complexity of the crisis, the scale of the ACT humanitarian response & requirements from back donors, have called for an external evaluation of this appeal LEB201

Background:
Following the roll out of the standard operating procedures for the protection of children in Lebanon, the Ministry of Social Affairs increased its workforce capacities to conduct child protection case management and provide the needed response to children subject to violence neglect exploitation and abuse. One important pillar in the child protection case management process is the supervision, monitoring and evaluation framework. UNICEF and MoSA are thus seeking a contractor to support in the development of this framewor

Under the Employment with Dignity Pillar of the Dutch Prospects, ILO and DRC are implementing a project in North to enhance employability and decent employment for vulnerable Lebanese host communities and Syrian refugees upon labour market needs related to agriculture. The present proposed project of employability services for vulnerable job seekers is one of the components of a larger livelihoods project also focusing on business and market support.
