The European Institute for Cooperation and Development is a French NGO operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education.
Through the Support to Micro and Small Enterprises, IECD invests in training and support for small businesses, the main engine of growth and job creation at the local level.
To assess the project, IECD is looking for an external evaluator to conduct a final evaluation.

IECD has been operating In Lebanon since 1989 and opened a regional office in Beirut in 2007.

The “Institut Européen de Coopération et de dévloppement” (IECD) is a French development aid organization with thirty years of experience in the field of education and vocational training and a presence in Lebanon since 1989. Semeurs d'Avenir (SDA), created in 2010, is the Lebanese partner organisation of IECD in the country.
In South Lebanon, IECD and SDA are working with their partner, the Foyer de la Providence, to strengthen the Mosaik specialised school, a flagship establishment in the region that welcomes children with disabilities, complex learning disorders, intellectual deficiencies

SDA/IECD seeks an expert to design and deliver technical training to women in agri-food (Mouneh) in Karm El Meher, Dinniyeh.

Purpose of the consultancy
SDA/IECD seeks an expert to design and deliver technical training to farmers in main pests and diseases as well as plantation of origanum syriacum in Knaysseh, Akkar.

The project, Develop a stimulating socio-economic environment in North Lebanon’, aims at contributing to the improvement of the socio-economic situation in North Lebanon. The terms of reference attached are drafted to recruit (a) consultant(s) to evaluate the project after its implementation. This final evaluation should take place in the last months of the project, preferably in November 2018, to assess its results and potential following the standard evaluation criteria

The purpose of this assignment is to document the trainings and the impact of these trainings while also highlighting the work of IECD/SDA in Lebanon. In line with this, IECD/SDA is seeking a videographer who can direct and produce a high-quality, 5-6-minute documentary showcasing our work. The documentary is aimed at an external audience and should therefore serve as a summary of FC program’s activities and to showcase the impact of the program. In this regard, hearing directly from the beneficiaries themselves through the medium of film will effectively illustrate the impact of our program.

Afin de répondre aux besoins exprimés par divers acteurs de l’éducation et du secteur privé, l’IECD et SDA ont décidé de rénover le curriculum de mathématiques des filières du BT Electrotechnique et Maintenance.

The project “Work Access for Youth” (“Accès à l’Emploi des Jeunes") addresses youth
unemployment in Lebanon through the setting up and strengthening of a network of Guidance
and Employment Offices (GEOs) within both private and public technical schools. The network of
offices supports students of vocational schools (all specialties) to be placed in jobs, providing
them with one-to-one coaching on applications, visits to the industry and internship
opportunities, as well as extra-curricular courses to improve their competences and
employability. In addition, the creation of a social business, producing electrical panels and
providing different electrical works, allows graduates and workers without qualifications a paid
practical work experience to improve their chances for durable employment in the future. The
profits will be reinjected into the project. The project is mainly managed by Semeurs d’Avenir
(SDA), a local organisation, while IECD supervises the implementation.
