Oxfam has been working in Lebanon since 1993 providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people affected by conflict, and promoting economic development, good governance at a local and national level, and women’s rights through Oxfam’s work with partners. Oxfam also works with local partners to contribute to the protection and empowerment of marginalized women and men.

Oxfam in Lebanon is currently implementing the “Masarouna” project aiming to support young people to achieve more freedom to enjoy their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in inclusive societies. The project

In line with its Governance objectives, Oxfam in Lebanon works to identify women and youths to form community groups who can come up with quick impact projects in response to identified community needs, network with local stakeholders and come up with advocacy plans, participate in trainings for capacity building and act as solid communal structures who can ensure continuous representation and action beyond Oxfam’s intervention.

Oxfam is advertising the below as one of the outputs of Oxfam's Programme funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), to develop capacity strengthening plans for partner staff to improve the capacity of local implementing partners and ensure sustainability. CLDH, in coordination with Oxfam, carried out an assessment to identify areas of needs requiring additional capacity strengthening and development. The below is one of the fields that came out from the assessments findings that Oxfam has committed to support.
