For Computer Training Instructor

Oxfam Lebanon Programme

 

Oxfam is advertising the below as one of the outputs of Oxfam's Programme funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC),   to develop capacity strengthening plans for partner staff in order to improve the capacities of local implementing partners and ensure sustainability. KAFA, in coordination with Oxfam, carried out an assessment to identify areas of needs requiring additional capacity strengthening and development. The below is one of the fields identified from the assessment findings that Oxfam has committed to support.

Background:

KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation is a Lebanese feminist organization striving to eliminate gender-based violence and exploitation. Established in 2005, KAFA aims to create a society free from patriarchal structures through legal advocacy, changing attitudes, research, training, and supporting victims.

Furthermore, KAFA is committed to empowering its support centre staff with advanced computer skills to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness in their roles. This comprehensive training program will enable staff to proficiently use various software applications and online platforms for improved work processes.

Objective:

The objectives of the computer training consultancy are:

•     To equip the support center staff with advanced computer skills for online collaboration.

•     To provide in-depth training on Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.

•     To enable the staff to confidently conduct and participate in online training sessions.

 

Scope of Work:

 

The main tasks of the Computer Training Instructor are:

•     To develop an inclusive curriculum covering Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Google Drive, Google Sheets, online platforms, and conducting training online.

•     To deliver engaging and interactive training sessions with hands-on exercises and practical scenarios.

•     To ensure that the participants understand online collaboration tools and best practices.

•     To provide step-by-step guidance on using Zoom and Microsoft Teams for virtual meetings and communication.

•     To demonstrate advanced features of Excel, Google Drive, and Google Sheets.

•     To teach participants how to use online platforms effectively.

•     To guide staff on conducting online training sessions, including engagement techniques and tools.

 

Training Methodology:

 

The training methodology will be interactive and hands-on, combining the following techniques:

•     Interactive presentations and discussions.

•     Practical exercises and guided demonstrations.

•     Group activities and discussions.

•     Role-playing scenarios for online training simulations.

Qualifications:

 

The candidate for the Computer Training Instructor role should have the following skills and experiences:

•     A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

•     Proven experience in delivering advanced computer training programs.

•     Proficiency in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, and Google Sheets.

•     Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

•     Ability to create a conducive online learning environment.

•     Experience in conducting virtual training sessions.

•     Patience and adaptability to various learning styles.

 

Curriculum:

 

The training curriculum will include the following topics:

•     Introduction to Zoom and Microsoft Teams for virtual communication and collaboration.

•     Advanced Microsoft Excel features for data analysis and reporting.

•     Efficient use of Google Drive and Google Sheets for document management and collaboration.

•     Navigating online platforms relevant to the NGO's operations.

•     Best practices for conducting engaging online training sessions.

Duration and Schedule:

 

The computer training program will span three consecutive Fridays, during November, each training day will run from 9 AM to 3 PM with breaks for lunch and short intervals. The schedule is as follows:

•     Day 1: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Online Platforms.

•     Day 2: Advanced Excel, Google Drive, and Google Sheets.

•     Day 3: Conducting Effective Online Training Sessions.

 

Logistics and Resources:

 

KAFA will provide the necessary training facilities, computers, software, training materials, and administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of the training program.

 

Reporting:

 

The Computer Training Instructor will provide a brief progress report after each training day, summarizing topics covered, participants' engagement, and any notable observations including pre-post-tests analysis.

Timeframe and Payment:

Payment shall be 100% upon handover and approval by Oxfam on the shared material.
