Land O’Lakes Venture37 (www.landolakesventure37.org) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to helping communities around the world thrive through agriculture. We strengthen economies by improving local agriculture, help agribusinesses create jobs, and link farmers to markets. We deliver integrated solutions that help build and improve food and agriculture systems by providing solutions for more competitive markets, more resilient systems, more nutrition-secure communities, and more inclusive societies.

From March 2024 through June 2024, an external fixed asset advisor will be hired to conduct an assessment on the operational status of the cooperative assets, coach members on the appropriate usage of the available equipment and execute maintenance for the needed assets. The main objective of this assessment is to improve the know-how and transfer the knowledge needed to the cooperative members to be able to run the equipment efficiently and have well maintained set of equipment.

The Cooperative Development-4 (CD4) program aims to improve cooperatives in Lebanon to better meet the growing needs of their members. The CD4 program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Venture37. Venture37 has designed the CD4 project to address system constraints and grow burgeoning opportunity areas, while leveraging the progress we and other private and public change agents have already made in Lebanon to drive continued cooperative development.

The purpose of this solicitation is to seek expert consultants interested and experienced in providing services stated below under a fixed price, milestone-based consultancy.

The Cooperative Development Activity 4 (CD4) is a $11.35M USD, 5-year (2018-2023) activity being implemented by Venture37 in Rwanda, Malawi and now Lebanon, with funding from USAID – Washington. The goal of CD4 is to advance cooperatives in all 3 countries so that they have the enabling environment, improved capacity, and resources to meet the evolving needs of their members. The work in Lebanon started as of October 2021.

Cooperative Development Activity (CD4) is a USAID-funded program, implemented by Land O’Lakes Venture37 in Lebanon. CD4 aims to promote the capacity building of special food processing primary cooperatives, support the enabling environment and learning and sharing best practices to meet the objective of a strengthened primary cooperative level for women and youth forward agro-processing cooperatives in Lebanon.

Agribusinesses in Lebanon are a major contributor to the Lebanese economy, but face challenges growing and diversifying their markets. Under the USAID Lebanon Investment in Quality (LINQ) project, Land O’Lakes Venture37 will increase the competitiveness of value-added agribusinesses and, relatedly, increase domestic and export sales of agricultural products.
The LINQ project is in its last year of implementation. Project close-out has already started and results and impact need to be tracked, analyzed and reported to USAID.
