In the framework of the project named “Solarization for water pumping stations and provision of critical hygiene support for affected communities in Nabatiyeh District” no. LEB-22/DDA- 3604/RA1/W/INGO/23276 funded by LHF (Lebanese Humanitarian Fund) and implemented by AVSI, the latter is launching a tender for the selection of one or more qualified contractor(s), for the provision of solar power generators for 2 water pumping stations in the district of Nabatieh.

The general objective of the project is Providing MSMEs, cooperatives and farmers with a support package to foster their stabilization and development, hence contributing to job retention, reduced unemployment and socio-economic vulnerabilities and to the promotion of economic growth in the longer term.
Within the context of this project, an expert will be requested to train the MSMEs, cooperatives and farmers on Organizational Safety and Health (OSH), Gender Sensitivity and inclusion main topics.

The proposed intervention, on the Habboush (Chreifeh) and Harouf (Sekran) pumping stations, consists of the installation of a 138.6 KWp and 130.9 KWp PV solar systems respectively, in line with the standards set by the SLWE. The Municipalities of Habboush and Harouf secured public lands to SLWE for solar system installation.

On behalf and in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE), AVSI representing 12 NGOs: AVSI, Terre Des Hommes Italy Onlus (TDH-IT), War Child Holland, World Vision, NRC, IRC, B&Z (Bassme w Zaytoune), Dream Of Refugees, AND, Social Support, PARD & JRS is launching a tender for the selection of one supplier to procure CBECE books & BLN Books (details in the Annexes A1 & A2) to be used within the collaboration of the said NGOs with MEHE.

AVSI Lebanon has received a grant from UNICEF for the implementation of the humanitarian project named “Agriculture Vocational education and training for vulnerable Adolescents and Youth in Lebanon (AVOCADO 6)”. Therefore, it is the intention of AVSI to enter into a Framework Agreement, for the procurement of raw materials for bakeries as detailed in the ITB.
