MASAR for Local Governments is a program funded by the EU MADAD trust fund and implemented in Lebanon and Iraq. The program aims to strengthen the long-term resilience of targeted subnational governments and their host, refugee, and IDP populations to deal with displacement.

MASAR for Local Governments is a programme funded by the EU MADAD trust fund and implemented in Lebanon and Iraq. The overall aim of the program is to strengthen the long-term resilience of targeted subnational governments and their host, refugee and IDP populations to deal with displacement.

Under Specific Objective 3 MASAR project aims to contribute to Local Economic Development and increasing employment opportunities and job creation for host and refugee communities.
MASAR’s activities to support the agricultural sector work towards job creation in the mentioned UoMs by building the capacity of local farmers and cooperatives in agricultural practices and management.

ACCD in partnership with the local governments of the UoM Menieh will implement a quick impact pilot project on the improvement of the Road Safety that focuses on the mandate of local governments as entry point. As such, the proposed intervention will concentrate in implementing the works for the improvement of the Road Safety in Menieh.
ACCD invites you to submit a quotation for Road Safety works for the UoM of Menieh, Lebanon. The overall objective of this project is the implementation of road safety designs and solutions already established in a previous feasibility study.

The Agència Catalana de Cooperació al Desenvolupament, through a consortium led by the Dutch organization of municipalities VNG, is participating in the MASAR project, a project funded by the European Union focused in the areas affected by the Syrian crisis. One of the project proposals is the improvement of the irrigation canal in the Union of Municipalities of OUSSAT WA SAHIL AL QAYTAA.

Supply Agreement to procure the MASAR project with rubber and steel bins under the Solid Waste Management Pilot Project in for the UoM of Municipalities of Ouassat Wa Sahel al Qaytaa- LEBANON

One of the project proposals ACCD is implementing a pilot project to capacitate Menieh Union of Municipalities on Road Safety management and awareness including infrastructure improvement.
The aim of the assignment is to support the Union of Municipalities in development of capacities of the local police in the field of traffic law enforcement. It also aims at implementing an awareness programme on safety behaviour in the schools of the UoM.

The assignment aims to support the UoMs/Municipalities in the institutionalization and operationalization of a Municipal GIS by assisting MASAR in developing a uniform and fully operational GIS. The latter is supported by adequate data & maps, allowing the Unions/Municipalities to make informed decisions regarding investments, operation, and maintenance of (at minimum) MASAR pilot/demonstration service delivery and LED projects.

ACCD is implementing a pilot project to capacitate Menieh Union of Municipalities on Road Safety management and awareness including infrastructure improvement.
The aim of the assignment is to produce the engineering designs for implementation of road safety improvements as established in the study produced by ACCD. In a second stage the expert/firm will supervise works implementation in accordance to law, designs, safety standards and project timeline.
