At the beginning of 2021, ACCD in partnership with the local governments of the UoM Oussat wa Sahel al Qyataa completed an assessment of Solid Waste Management capacities and equipment at the UoM Oussat wa Sahel al Qaytaa. The assessment analysed the existing facilities, equipment, management modes, gaps and and priorities.Under this consultancy, the expert/firm will lead the implementation of the design of the storage and collection plan, and capacity building.

Under the framework of the MASAR Program, ACCD is implementing a pilot project to capacitate local governments in Area-Based Planning by combining integrated strategic planning and the establishment of municipal GIS systems with updated cartography and digital database.
Geographical scope of the assignment:
-Union of Oussat wa Sahel al Qaytaa, Governorate of Akkar, 14 municipalities
- Union of Menieh, Governorate of North Lebanon, 5 municipalities

ACCD is looking for Translation and Interpretation services in the framework of the MASAR Project:
 Interpretation of trainings, events and meetings.
 Translation of Reports in the fields of i.e urban planning, solid waste management, trainings.
The expert/firm will provide Translation (i.e final experts reports, feasibility reports and other assignments) and Interpretation services (i.e events, meetings, trainings and other assignments) through different duty assignments during the duration of the project (until end of 2022)

ACCD is implementing a pilot project to capacitate the local governments on Road Safety management and awareness including small infrastructure improvement.
The overall aim of this assignment is to provide a full assessment of the status of the road network in Menieh and identify key activities for an action plan under MASAR. The action plan fill follow the 5 "E" approach and therefore will combine: infrastructure work, capacity building for law enforcement at local level, and safety awareness for the community.

ACCD is implementing a pilot project to capacitate local governments in Area-Based Planning through the establishment of Technical Unit at the Unions of Municipalities (UoM). This project will develop the capacities in cartography, GIS, digitalisation of spatial data focusing on land use and household mapping, which will allow for better analysing and planning the needs in public services.
Having completed a full technical study that defined the requirements to set up a GIS system in the two UoM, ACCD will prepare a database of maps, satellite imagery and data.

ACCD in partnership with the local governments of the UoM Oussat wa Sahel al Qyataa will implement a quick impact pilot project on the irrigation canal of Nahr al Bared focusing on infrastructure improvements as well as on optimising management, institutional collaboration and community awareness campaigns.

In order to create a pool of Construction companies, ACCD is launching this “Call for participation – Profiling of construction companies”. Companies will be contacted on a needs basis and invited to a selection/tendering process.
